WI Climate Ambassadors & Eco-chi Volunteers

The West Sussex Federation WI Climate Ambassadors & Eco-chi Volunteers:
• share some of the climate change related activities going on in
your area
• promote ideas to help with the battle against climate change

Lavant WI & Eco-chi held an information stall at Chichester’s Farmer’s Market on Friday 4 June. It was a great success, attracting conversations about joining the WI and climate change dilemmas, despite the pouring rain!

On Friday 2 July Lavant WI & Eco-chi held the first of three Plastic Free (single-use) Drop-in Picnics (between 12-3pm) in Oakland’s Park (behind the Festival Theatre)

Saturday 10 July – Apulstock Musical Plastic Free (single-use) Drop-in Picnic 12 noon to 4pm. 
Mike Fry & the Plastic NoNo Band are performing for the first time ‘Plastic’ at 3pm
Apulstock is a Music festival which is held for people with learning disabilities


In September, communities across the country will join together to celebrate what they are doing to tackle climate change, as part of the Climate Coalition Great Big Green Week.
WSFWI Public Affairs are holding an event by zoom during Great Big Green Week, on Friday 24 September 2021 2pm to 4pm called ‘Our Green Future’ and welcome you to join in.
Some interesting speakers, from a wide range of topics, will be there to show case examples that help to combat climate change is our area. They would all welcome your questions.

Nathan Dellicott Farm Director Langmead Farms talking about working with the environmental challenges in farming
Nigel Baker Sussex Electric Vehicles talking about Electric Cars
