Mobile waste disposal sites under threat at Selsey and the Witterings

West Sussex County Council, WSCC, is considering whether to cut the provision of the mobile waste disposal sites at Selsey and Witterings due to a funding gap of £129 million over the next 3 years.   1. Anthony Tuffin has explained the potential loss of the mobile waste disposal facilities at Selsey and The Witterings would increase the number of householder journeys to the Westhampnet public facility and the likelihood of fly-tipping in the Selsey and Witterings area.
    The mobile waste disposal units are unique to Selsey and Witterings owing to their difficult to get to location. The service is believed to cost £57,000 a year.
