The world’s largest multi-storey parking area for bicycles opened on 19.8.19 in Utrecht, Netherlands

The Netherlands have more bikes than people and they are trying to encourage more people to cycle in cities around the country to improve air quality and to reach their climate crisis targets. Utrecht has built the biggest parking area for bicycles at it’s railway station. The hope is that if there are more spaces to leave your bicycle at the station more people will use take a train rather than their car.
