We will be planting Buckthorn trees on the Whyke Community Orchard on Wednesday this week, 11th March from 9 -11am.
Whyke Community Orchard off Exton Road is a Transition Chichester project with 20 fruit trees. We are planting the buckthorn into our edible hedge. Note it’s a sea buckthorn, with berries rich in Vitamins C and K rather than the buckthrn for butterflies that Mary I is planting.
