Climate Emergency Officer needs your support

Chichester District Council have declared a Climate Emergency, have published an Initial Climate Emergency Action Plan and have employed a Climate Emergency Officer (CEO). The CEO’s initial remit includes creating a Climate Emergency Action Plan which includes the target to reduce area wide carbon emissions by 10% per year. The intention is to publish in September 2020.
The CEO is not going to be able to do this on her own. She will need the support across the council, the members (Councillors), organisations operating in Chichester District and people who live and/or work here.
XR Chichester Political Engagement Group have set up a page on the website to help people engage with our Councillors.

Please read it and contact your District Councillor (https://chichester.moderngov.co.uk/mgMemberIndex.aspx?bcr=1) to encourage them to support the development and adoption of the Climate Emergency Action Plan.
