Webinar Series on creating the best possible Council Action Plans from Climate Emergency UK

“Every Monday at 1pm (except bank holidays) for the next few weeks, we invite you to join Councillors, officers, experts and residents online to learn from each other about creating the best possible Action Plans to address and adapt to the climate and ecological emergencies with the urgency they demand.
Book your place on the next two below to participate live. Sessions will also be broadcast live on our Facebook page and Youtube Channel, and available afterwards.

Accessing recordings of the webinars.

We record all our sessions, so you can listen to them afterwards if you can’t attend. We’ve already held two very well attended Zoom conferences during the lockdown, on ‘Communicating Climate Change and ‘Doughnut Economics and the Thriving Cites Initiative’. The recordings will generally be available at www.climateemergency.uk/events We are still waiting formal permission to make the ‘Thriving Cities Initiative’ recording available publicly, in the meantime you can access it here.

Donations gratefully received

We are a not-for-profit that, since December 2018, has been supporting Councils and other public bodies to declare a climate and ecological emergency and to prepare effective action plans. We have established ourselves as leaders in this area and have created a network to share learning.
We are completely un-funded and so have relied on volunteers and occasional donations to fund our work. We have recently employed a researcher who is collating and analysing all the Climate & Ecological Emergency Action Plans produced by UK Local Authorities, and we’ll be producing a checklist of what should be in a good Plan. Demand for our webinars means that we’ve had to upgrade our Zoom account to accommodate 500 participants.
We are now asking for donations so we can continue and expand this work. If you would like to support us, then please donate here.
