  • XR Chi ‘HONEYCOMB’ PICNIC - MIDDAY, SAT 18 JULY, OAKLANDS PARK

XR Chi ‘HONEYCOMB’ PICNIC - MIDDAY, SAT 18 JULY, OAKLANDS PARK

    All day
    July 18, 2020

The plan … to meet with a picnic and a drink (or two) on the grass at the Theatre end of Oaklands Park, under the trees, to enjoy a bite to eat together and a catch up in the sun!
We are basing our socially distanced meet on the versatile design so cleverly used by bees - the honeycomb - with groups of people sitting in a hexagon. They are usually perfectly symmetrical but realise we might not achieve this!
The hexagons can be loosely demarcated at their 'corners' by people (ie us) but if you have creative ideas for marking them out in a more colourful and original way (eg with rose petals, ribbon, bunting etc) do just go for it!
The idea is just to be physically together so if you end up in a wonky hexagon, a square or a circle it doesn't matter at all.
With the current times we suggest please that everyone brings their own food and drink and we of course adhere to 2 m social distancing  (only sharing your picnic or sitting in close contact with your household or 'bubble')
    Looking forward to seeing you!
