    The intention behind the event is to chat to customers and raise awareness of the sheer amount of single-use and unnecessary plastic packaging which is used. We will be encouraging shoppers to take the packaging off the goods that they have bought (plastic from the packs of loo rolls, for example) and we will then put that plastic into a shopping trolley manned by a volunteer. By the end of the event, shoppers will be able to see how much unwanted plastic has been accumulated.
    We will also be promoting Sainsbury's intention to sell milk and fizzy drinks in returnable glass bottles starting this year.
    We welcome mums and dads with children who want to attend too.
