“If HS2 goes ahead, it will require the largest deforestation project this country has seen since the First World War,” says wildlife TV presenter and conservationist Chris Packham. Despite the fact that the government is yet to decide if HS2 will definitely go ahead, preparatory work continues unabated, which is alleged to involve “serious and irreversible environmental damage… felling woodlands, clearing bushes, moving protected species and building roads.”
Chris is taking legal action to put a stop to HS2—for good.
